hi foggers,
can't find any help in the rule book about this point:
when a Bg intercept, is he considered to be charged or charging? and the initially charging BG? what if the inteception reaches the charging BG before it moves?
cheers

Intercepting BGs are considered to be charging if they contact the flank or rear of the enemy BG which they are intercepting. In other cases they are not charging "per se", but are not considered stationary either, which is why spearmen don't cancel lance POAs when intercepting. They are not able to brace for the impact as they would if not intercepting.

Re: interception
Assuming it is not a flank or rear charge it never actually "reaches" it. An intercept moves to a position where it will be struck. So it may look like it could move to contact it is actually a micro distance away. Then the charer moves and impacts into the units in its way which is now the interceptordomblas wrote:what if the inteception reaches the charging BG before it moves?
beware it is interception charge not charge ..so you cannot contact bases that are up to 2 MU further as in chargesgozerius wrote:Intercepting BGs are considered to be charging if they contact the flank or rear of the enemy BG which they are intercepting.
