We have not decided yet what will come after CEAW and it ofcourse depend on many factors. Obviously, the success of this game is an important factor for the futureungers_pride wrote:Great looking screenies.
Really looking forward to getting this game.
BTW, now that a map of Europe has been completed, is there any possbility that an epic, turn-based Roman Empire game could also be made at some future time?

This game looks like a winner. So I don't think you'll have to worry about sales. Present us with some great strategy, some interesting choices, and a tough AI....firepowerjohan wrote:We have not decided yet what will come after CEAW and it ofcourse depend on many factors. I also like Joe98's suggestion for a Pacific War expansion....

I am also having fun testing it and the only thing preventing me from testing more against Vypueor in TcpIp agai is that I do not have the time so I guess I will have to leave the competition to you guysvypuero wrote:I am working very hard to be sure these scenarios are good. I really hope a lot of people like them, and will love playing head to head soon. I am even having fun testing by playing against myself.

I am not into multiplayer or PBEM myself - I go for a game with good AI.vypuero wrote:I am working very hard to be sure these scenarios are good. I really hope a lot of people like them, and will love playing head to head soon. I am even having fun testing by playing against myself.
So, how is the AI stacking up?

Overall I would say the AI is decent but can in some scenarios (1944 for instance) where the front lines are already given (hence more tactical situations where you do not have so many choices) be a real challenging opponent.ungers_pride wrote:I am not into multiplayer or PBEM myself - I go for a game with good AI.vypuero wrote:I am working very hard to be sure these scenarios are good. The AI is the most diffcult task and to be honest it wont beat a good human player in a 50-50 equal setup this decade or next decade with the technology that exist. We do have handicap levels providing the AI with economic advantage and even some extra units in their force pool in order to provide more challenge. The tactical AI is mean and try to pocket your units and strike where you are weakest. The grand scale AI is alot more tricky to make good and I have not seen any wargame out there making a good enough one and in any wargame without a handicap I always beat the AI. CEAW is no exception to this rule.
We are also planning to make additional scenarios (some of more tactical nature) and some of them with alternative victory conditions but those will not be ready from the release.
For example could a scenario be a 1941 Barbarossa with UK and USA disabled and with such a front line defined you more get the tactical scale hence you wont be able to outsmart the AI too easily, hopefully
I have not been posting so much on this forum recently and the reason being that many of the frequent posters are now in the Beta team (hence Beta forum) flooding me with questions and ideas there instead. Unfortunately most new stuff is kept there. However, there wont be long now until we have some announcements to make and I am sure you guys will like what we have to say
