OK now i have an annoying issue.

OK during all the process of helping hetzer get set up i used my client of BA as a trouble shooting tool.

so yesterday i uninstalled and re installed and then updated. but now every time i start the game it acts like its my first time...

shows a log of the update data, then it starts but locks all game modes until i play the tutorial.

this something i can deal with, but is a bit annoying.

has anyone else seen anything like this?

Yes

When you first install the game it makes you play the tutorial and Desert campaign before you can go on.

Uninstalling and reinstalling is just like installing for the first time.

Go to your MyGames\BBCBA folder and open Options.txt with notepad. See if FirstRun is 0 or 1. If 0, change it to 1, save and close. Then see if it lets you get into the other campaigns.

It shouldn't have touched your save files etc when you reinstalled (unless you deleted them purposely?).

If you are seeing it having issues saving progress, you might want to try deleting the whole My Documents\My Games\BBCBA folder. It could be a wierd permissions issue.

this is really strange when i start the game it doesn't start. so i re start and it starts as if its the first time

make me run the last scenero of the tutorial and then i can play MP.

I also notice that in my Task manager...

when i run BA the first time it creates an instance of the game using about 90k memory... but never starts the actual game.

when i run it the second time it it launches with the symptoms i described above.

also notice that when i end the game that strange 90k BA application keeps running in the background.

in anycase i deffinatly think i need to wipe my whole install and re load .

I will up date you as to if i still have issues.

OK uninstalled completely ordered teh blitkrige thinking the added licence would help.

ok we installed from scrach.... and still getting the same issue. 90k ghost version running according to Task manager.

guy im gonna have to uninstall and hack it out of my registry... figures.. hehe i finnaly get my buddy up and working and i crash...

I will keep you posted on what works with this issue

Don't forget to delete the folder that Pip points out above after you uninstall.

well interestingly enough after i uninstalled i wen looking into my program files folder and discovered a slitherine and a slitherine(1) folder

so i have deleted those and im gonna try another reinstall before i go mucking into registry.

i will keep you updated.

and deleting the MyGames\BBCBA folder

did the trick before the reinstall.

I repeat with much relish!!!
