Hmm... 2 pending? I just started the match with Morbio, so that's 1, but I'm not sure who my other competitor is...deeter wrote: Current status: 1 win, 4 losses and 2 pending. Total points: 3

Grumblefish is marching on Carthage as we speak (turn 4), contact just made between MF and LF, no casualties so far!deeter wrote:Any news on remaining games? I'd like to get started on round two by the end of the weel.

No sign of Gudin despite the taunting. I have my scouts trying to find his army, but no luck so far!

Grumblefish (Hellenic Sparta) 62/62 vs. Morbio (Carthage) 52/66
Another win for the might of Carthage!
A tough game which was always going to be a challenge when the masses of Superior Hoplites lined up across the battlefield from the masses of Average Spearmen! A few factors ensured the Carthage victory;
- The use terrain by the Carthage MF and LF to advantage.
- A good combination of Impact and Offensive MF to beat the Sparta MF in the forest and swamps... with a smattering of elephants too.
- The many sacrifices to Baal... which ensured the good fortune for the brave warriors of Carthage! AKA good rolls at the right time!

It was a tough match, very very close at the end. Morbio is right about the terrain; I really mismanaged my army on my left, and the right was so so. Still, Morbio's entire centre dissolved at one point. It was so close the game got frustrating during the last turn when I had cavalry attacking from the rear actually lose and a series of other disasters, because every breakpoint mattered; my main line was going to reconnect with the remnants of morbio's heavy infantry, which I hoped would end it. GG overall although I wish I played it better.

Hmm yes an automatic win sounds nice.deeter wrote:Sounds like a good fight. So that would leave the Morbio vs. Gudin match to wrap up Round 1, correct? If Gudin is MIA, I wondering how we should proceed to Round 2... maybe give whoever would have faced him an automatic win? I'm open to suggestions.

I don't see morbio's so I'll post two challenges, both will be password "gudin" just to shake things up.gudin wrote:OK, I apparently didn't even know I had two outstanding games. I don't spend a lot of times on the forum, and thought I'd PMd everyone for whom I needed a match. Anyone who wants a match, feel free to PM me. I'll try and accept Morbio's if it's still there.
Sorry for the delay, I thought I was done.
