Tigran the Great bug
It is not possible to pick an "inspired" leader for this Armenian army in the DAG list, which is a shame, because apparently he did inspire quite a few people in his time!

Oh right, so it's deliberate then. Hmmm. I just read Wikipedia about Tigranes and he was called "King of Kings" and it says that "Cicero, referring to his success in the east (i.e. Tigranes), said that he "made the Republic of Rome tremble before the prowess of his arms." But then it says he was badly defeated by the Romans on at least two occasions after this. But then again, who wasn't?batesmotel wrote:This accurately reflects the TT list restriction. Tigranes the Great was definitely not an Inspired Commander on the battlefield in the historical record.

Can I have a steward's enquiry into this, please?
I have just been to my laboratory and clicked on about fifteen other Rise of Rome armies and they all have the ability to pick "inspired" leaders. Even such great military geniuses as the Bogus Numidian, the Common Illyrian and Hire-Car Anus from Palestine have got "inspired" status capability but not the "King of Kings", Tigranes, who made Cicero tremble in his slippers!
There is something wrong here chaps, surely?

I am not sure about the design decision but i would guess it has to do with how specific the Tigran list is, ie it only deals with the army of that one King for a specific campaign wheres illyrian armies etc cover hundreds of years where theoretically a Inspired leader COULD have emerged.
So on that grain i would guess if not for Scipio A. , the Mid Republicans would not be allowed an inspired leader either

There are other armies with restrictions on ICs as well as I recall. Both the Pontic armies (also in RoR) and the Burgundian Ordonnance (in SoA) are similarly limited. Each of these also corresponds to a single ruler like the Tigran the Great list. For a different type of restriction, I believe that the TT Pyrrhic lists require an IC for Pyrrhus although this isn't enforced in the DAG.

Burgundian Ordonnance and both Pontic armies can choose an "inspired" leader. Only poor old Tigranes can't do this, to my knowledge. He can't be the worst military commander of all time, can he? What about Edward II? Or Darius?
Seriously, it would be good if it can be changed because the Armenian lists are very much based on the cataphracts and to do well with them in the league you really need to get favourable terrain as often as you can - and choosing an "inspired" leader does give you a greater chance of achieving this.
