Dumped the first idea - Caroline Imperialist instead

Border reivers @ 15mm is impractical (lack of suitable minis) Amd nobody in the states does 25mm anymore, my second choice is as close as I can get to the Imperialist Army at Pavia....plenty of nice minis and can fill out something close to the actual OOB @ 800 points. Anyways, haven't played Renaissance yet and want to know how and if this 600 pt starter force will work.

Obviously "great commander is a bit of a stretch, but I didn't have anywhere else to throw the 30 points. Again, not having played the game I would suspect an aggressive strategy would be infantry in the center, screened by Arquebusiers, cav on flanks. Soften the enemy up with artillery and arquebus fire, in with the landsknechts and keep the colunelas back to react to threats on the main attack or two throw in at the decisive moment.
