Battle Group Formation

Can a battle group of 4 bases form up with 3 bases in the front rank & 1 base in the rear rank ?

Yes as long as it isn't breaking any of the rules on pike & shot, etc. formations.

Yes, if it isn't a mixed BG with special rules applying.

Thanks for the replies. The formation in question was Horse, so therefore legal.
