i have recently started playing comm EAW and thought it was quite good my m8 got it to we want to play online with the tcpip option i know how to set up but it keeps coming up with an internal address and we cant connect ive given him my proper ip adress to log in but icant change mine from my end this is doing me ed in can any 1 help us please guys

Can anyone help us, weve spent another night trying to connect to each other through tcpip.

Sorry, I'm not a tech person and don't really like TCP/IP (only used it once, and with a different game).

I do know that things get a bit tricky if either of you uses a router - the other player has to enter your router's IP address, not your computer's, and the router has to be configured to pass on stuff from his address (normally it would block that kind of connection by default, for security reasons). The details will be router-specific. If that's your problem you should be able to find out something by searching on the internet. Good luck!
