It might be interesting if a disrupted or fragmented unit had to takea morale check if the general leaves it in the joint action phase (I would exempt moves in the movement phase I think).

This might actually slightly reduce the benny hill phase of the game as general wouldn't be quite so free to leave the front line and rally troops - they might get stuck on a FRG group that would likely break if they left it.

It would also be somewhat limiting for skirmishers as if your LF/LH were disrupted again your general might be more limited in options if you want to rally.

Interesting case ShrubMik.

It makes me wonder, how many ancient/medieval commanders spent their time running around with the skirmishers?
I don't suppose it's very well documented.
Possibly for reasons resembling this case, they did not.
