Management of Beta Process

Post by grahambriggs »

Beta of v2 is almost upon us. Hence, I assume that the authors have either nailed down what they want tested or are almost there. It would be useful to have a statement from "the management" as to how the process works from now on.

Specifically, do you want peaople to still post bright ideas here, and kick them around, or not? If you do, it might be sensible to steer the focus by saying which are the outstanding areas of concern, and which are not. For example, if you think there's a workable proposal for undrilled impact foot but are still struggling for terrain selection, it's a waste of time if we keep banging away on the former.

This would be a good idea as people are still posting ideas, and since the Beta Group is closed I would also think you must have the rough idea of what you want play testing.

Any idea as to when the Beta Testing is starting, would be great and also when you find out if you've made it on to the Group.

Just a thought.

I wonder if JD's announcement of beta testing starting 31 January contains any clues :?:

Mind you, that would depend on JD getting everything out to the beta testers on time. Did he say which year ...
