Yuletide distraction - Roman Fort

Post by list_lurker »

For a bit of a holiday distraction here is my Roman fort acting as 'impassable terrain' for my Romans. I'm sure many of you will have the pleasure of rolling a 5 or 6 to remove it from the table over the forthcoming year

Yeah, it is such a pity that this kind of terrain ends up removed! It looks awesome, by the way!

I wanted to ask you something: whose manufacturer are the civilians you have in the camp? The tents look like the ones from Baueda, but I can't tell about the civilians. Those civilians could fit very well in any of my camps.

Very nice - very nice indeed
I have the same fort - BUT alas it is too large to be a roman camp - it is really useable as a village????

It is slightly too large. I was going to use with a 12" template underneath, so it can be adjusted slightly it needs be. I was going to field it an an impassable area rather than a village. That way you don't have the pain of moving figures through it.

Lets face it it will be denied a place on the table by either a BBA or zig-zaggy road placement. Even then there is a 30% of removal.

It is a folly I know.

I am pretty sure it is from JR minatures

I am not sure if it is still made or not

There was an earlier version that was ceramic but smaller
This looks to me like the newer one made out of resin
