Switching sides

Post by Elbandito1200 »

Hi there!

Great game you made!
I have searched through the threads but didn't exactly find the answer to my question...

Is it possible to play all the campaigns with the other side, e.g. as German in Africa and Normandy or as French in Blitzkrieg?
I'm not really talented when it comes down to programming or editing so I would be grateful for help!

Thanks!

No sorry - to play the Germans we have to build an entirely new set of campaigns - e.g. Blitzkrieg France.

Okay, I see.

Is there anything planned like this for the near future? I don't know but I think it would not be that big of an effort to take the existing maps/scenarios and just switch the sides, is it?
I think it would be challenging for example to take the french forces and try to stop the german advance. And it would be something different to try to change the historical outcomes of all these battles as so far you can only play within these historical accurate parameters.

And another question: could there possibly be a somehow dynamic campaign created? With the outcome of the scenarios influencing the following? This may of course be a part of a further expansion of the game, I'm just curious.

Again, you created a great game and I just would like to have more possibilities to play it :)

It would require building the campaigsn from scratch unfortunately so as much work as making the game the first time round :)

You are free to use the scenario editor to play around with it and try yourself but you'll see quite quickly how big a job it is!

We are looking at dynamic campaigns right now!
