A few questions

Post by NotaPacifist »

Hi guys,
Love the game and have played the daylights out of it on both sides, but have some questions. Please answer if you know, not if you 'suppose' it works in such and such a way.

1. Supply east of Moscow. Why is it halved? Couldn't the Germans have changed the rail gauge the same way they did west of Moscow?

2. Surprise attacks only against convoys. 14 capital ships were lost by the Allies to U-boat attack. This doesn't include German ships lost to British and Russian Subs, Japanese vs. American, or any other possible combination. I know the argument most likely will be their attendant destroyer escorts...but still...

2a. Subs often escaped without suffering any damage (applicable to the U-boats: until late in the war with the advent of the hunter-killer group, huffduff, and more widespread use of asdic)...wouldn't it be fair if all subs had a chance to escape depending upon the attacker's level of ASW or with some level of damage shy of total annihilation which would normally result in the pileup that sub attacks bring?

3. Why won't units retreat out of smaller cities, or through the double line? I can see why they wouldn't abandon a capital...

Thanks in advance.
