Does anyone know if there is available a figure of a Viking leader being borne upon a shield by his followers?
I have read sources of leaders being borne in such a way and wondered if there were figures available.

I don't think that it is hard to do it yourself. You just need to look over the best figures suitable to do that and make your own conversion. I have seen that for Gauls. They bought the shield separately (sold by Xyston) and then some figures without shields. The rest is all about composition, which is not difficult.
It might not be for you but my modelling skills are less than nil.Strategos69 wrote:I don't think that it is hard to do it yourself. It depends what scale you are playing in.
In 25mm, a German company called Hobby Products produced a range of Metal Magic Miniatures (or maybe it was the other way round) for figures from the Asterix books. The set of Gauls (10 figures) included a model of chief Vitalstatistix being borne aloft on his shield by two shielbearers. They were also available in blister packs of individual figures or groups. The figures are dressed as Gauls (or at least as Goscinny/Uderzo's version of them), but it wouldn't take much effort to make them look like vikings.
The figures can sometimes be picked up on e-bay.
