Leadership question
Are Leadership modifiers cummulative? Example: If a Battlegroup is in Command Range of an Inspired Leader and a Filed Commander and a Troop Commander and is also adjacent to a Commander does it get a +5 modifier in a Cohesion Test? Complex Move Test? Rally? The Help pages do not state that only one modifier applys.

I'd agree, not from any reading of the manual, but I don't think I've ever seen more than a +2 from leadership.batesmotel wrote:I believe only the best applicable modifier for a commander applies.

Could be fun though.....3 commanders in a clump surrounded by pikes, mucking around the battleground like some giant porcupine on steroids

I've got two words for ya: Math is hard.
Thanks guys. I kinda thought so. Just wanted to make sure.

Yeah, but when you think about it realistically, three commanders trying to command one Battlegroup would most likely result in a -5 modifier.CheerfullyInsane wrote:Could be fun though.....3 commanders in a clump surrounded by pikes, mucking around the battleground like some giant porcupine on steroids

After thinking about this for a while now, I still wonder about it. If the command modifiers are not cumulative, then being adjacent to a commander is never utilized since there is a modifier for just being in command range of any type of commander. How could you be adjacent to a commander and not be in command range at the same time? So if you are adjacent to an Inspired Commander would you get a +3 modifier or +2? If command modifiers are not cummulative then you would only get a +2 and thus the adjacent modifier would never occur. My only conclusion is that the adjacent modifier IS cummulative with the single best radius modifier. Is this correct?

Wait, the two things have different effects, don't they? Command radius helps out when you're doing movement based tests like anarchy. The cohesion test, however, is not aided by being within command radius. For the benefit there, you need to be adjacent to a commander.Brigz wrote:After thinking about this for a while now, I still wonder about it. For CMTs there is an additional +1 for being adjacent to or with the commander over and above the plus for being in command range.
Contrary to the help, I do not think there is a plus for a CT for having a commander adjacent in addition to the general command bonus. What is required is that a commander must be adjacent or with the BG for certain CTs, e.g. if the BG is in combat or when trying to rally/bolster from a bad cohesion state. In those cases, in order to recieve the normal command bonus in the CT, you must be adjacent or with the commander, but you should then receive the normal commander bonus, e.g. +2 for an IC, +1 for other commanders.
You can use the details display (U short cut) to see the listing of modifers that apply to CTs. It isn't as helpful for CMTs.
