Commander series available for Mac !

We are pleased to announce that the Commander series is finally available for the Mac OS platforms on the Slitherine shop.
You can now purchase both Commander Europe at War and Commander Napoleon at War from our store.

This award winning series has seen thousands of players around the world enjoy the in-depth strategic gameplay in one of the most accessible yet challenging wargames ever released.
The Nintendo DS and Sony PSP version of Commander Europe at War have brought this amazing title to a completely new audience and now all Mac fans will also be able to download the game from the Slitherine digital shop.

No, we're now just selling the Mac version from our store in case people don't know about the Mac version.

Is there a specific Mac version of the patch available yet? Not sure if Mac users have to do a custom install for the patch or Slitherine patch for Mac is still pending?

When you say the patch do you mean the GS expansion?

Actually any updates or mods that are available for the Mac release. The Mac version I just purchased is 1.06

Newbie here, so not sure if that is in fact the latest greatest...or if any new patches or mods are available for the Mac version.

I'm afraid for now that the GS expansion is only for the PC version. Freeverse used to be the distributor of the MAC version of the CEAW but stopped selling it a year or so ago. The Slitherine store picked it up and now sells it in addition to the PC version. But again, the PC and MAC versions are not compatible with each other; but we can hope that will change in the future.

Ok that makes sense. Typically there is not a lot resources available to update Mac software.

I got the latest Intel Mac "switch-hitter", so I can run Windows at native speed (no emulation) OR regular Mac OS.

Maybe I can send a note to customer service, requesting special permission to download the PC version???

I did not realize just how comprehensive the GS expansion update was. Just read the list of enhancements and it looks like a major update to the game.
