Where are the France .bam files?
...so I can edit the new France 1940 scenarios in the editor. The other campaigns include them.

There aren't any or bsf files either. I guess that is the anti piracy measure.
See my thread on how to create BF content from scratch.

You can call me junk - and type that with one hand.
I copied the campaign folder over first thing and it worked fine.
Is there a thread on this anti-piracy BS? We paid for these single player scenarios. Why can't we edit them? We can edit every other scenario that came with the game.
After playing a scenario, it was always nice to throw a few new tanks in there are replay. This just doesn't seem right, to me at least.

So we have two separate databases. A Tiger will never meet a Souma. Not historical, but it would have been fun. I'm disappointed.
Secondly, we can't make one little change, tweak or improvement in the nine French single play scenarios we paid for. We play through 'em once, and that's it. The reason is, that we paying customers might become pirates and give the files to other people. We just can't be trusted so the files we paid for are withheld from us.
The FoG database includes all the expansions allows the mixing and matching of any units in an expansion. It allows the editing of scenarios that come with the game. But I guess us BA players can no longer be trusted.

FoG is very different to BA and needs to be protected in a different way. We'll supply examples of any chunks of code from the scripts you'd like to see for modding.
Units can be used in any combination - all you have to do is copy them so they are in the squads file you are using for that campaign. There are too many units and they have slightly different stats to all be on file. They just would slow down loading and waste memory if they were all available all the time reducing performance and raising the minimum spec.

It all boils down to the fact that the tools we use to build the game are one and the same the tools we give to you guys. We spent a ton of time coming up with a scheme that we hoped would provide the absolute minimum restrictions for people trying to use all the new content. The scenario you talk about, tweaking the SP missions to replay them didn't cross my mind I have to confess.
I will look at a way to allow for some kind of editing and tweaking of the French SP scenarios.
If you want to use the more modern units in scenarios along with the France units, then you can build a hybrid squads file fairly easily. As Iain says, there were technical and logical restrictions on simply putting them all into one massive list of units. As always, we are happy to help with any modding queries.
Cheers

We'll see what other people were expecting from the Expansion. Maybe it's just me. As soon as I get a new scenario, I want to mess with it!
I'm sure someone will come up with a mod to mix-and-match old and new. It's probably not as easy as pasting the Souma line of data into the base Squads file. Or is it?
You gave us some incredible enhancements to the base game as patches. That alone is worth a lot more than $15. It's a wonderful system.
I don't agree with the anti-piracy strategy, if that's what it is. I also don't agree that the equipment list in the game should not be combined because some guy's still using a Pentium III. BA loads faster than any other modern game I play. I wouldn't mind a few more seconds for the convenience.
You spoiled us, you see...I was expecting more flexibility from the Expansion. But I am still thrilled with BA overall.

Check the thread that I posted the link for.
There is a 128 line limit on the csv so don't go pasting the whole thing together. Also be careful of duplicates as some of the brit units are in both games.
Be sure to save as... to your My Games folders, not to the main game.
