Delete and cheat factor
Hi, I need to know how to delete games from our games that are active because every time I start that game my computer locks up. The one time I was playing against another opponent he started and then he locked up then restarted the game which caused this problem. I also want to know if there is a non cheat factor in the game. My meaning we should never be able to stop in the middle of a game and then restart the same game after knowing the position of units and the result of the conflict. Thanks if someone can let me know.

If you can tell me the name of your opponent I will grab the game files and see what is going on.
We track the number of times a turn is downloaded. This should (of course) only be once, as you download, take the turn, and then replace the turn with a new one ready for your opponent. The system tracks whether any turn is downloaded more than once and watches for any anomalous behaviour. We recognise that sometimes errors will occur, like crashes or lockups, or failures to upload, but we watch carefully for any instances where re-downloads appear to be too frequent.
If you need to stop in the middle of a turn, you can just use the X top left and save your current progress, ready to continue later.
So - to summarise - we are watching, and have a zero-tolerance policy towards cheating.
Cheers

Hello pip, I want to say thankyou for your quick resonse and i will choose not to play with this one opponent ever again. But aside from that I need to know how to delete the couple of games that are in my games to play file. i also want to take the time to say what a great game you guys came up with and do you think we can ever have self deployment in the scenarios it would make the scenarios so much better. Thanks again you guys are great! TreeTom

Is it possible to have an "autosave" using the player's events ... everytime the player fires or moves a unit (changing LOS range) it will autosave.
So, if a player does the three-fingered-salute instead of ending his turn (or it crashes), he would reload the autosave and it will be in the same spot, just before he punched out (game crashes).
Of course, the autosave would have to overwrite any previously saved game.

What's to stop them deleting the autosave before they start again? Or do you mean saving to the server - which could be an issue for people with slow upload connections (i.e. most of us, most connections are still very asymetric). Sadly I have to spend way too much time thinking of anti-cheat mechanics, and then coming up with ways I would circumvent them
.
It's a nice idea though if we could overcome the technical hurdles.
Cheers
