Artillery & Divisions

Post by Rekila »

On Page 42: Divisions. On the left column it says”at the start of a divisional move each BG is separated from any other in the division by a base width, unless the BG is one of the following: Keil, light foot, commanded shot, artillery”.
In the right column of the text it says “ Warriors, artillery, Battle Wagons, cannot be part of a division”
So artillery can or cannot be part of a division, even a division only of artillery?

IMO artillery can't because of what you have said and never seen artillery moved as such but I'm sure Nic or Richard will confirm it or not.

Artillery cannot be part of a division, but proximity to artillery does not prevent other troops from moving as part of a division.

i.e. You don't have to keep artillery a base width away from other troops when you deploy to avoid messing up your other troops' divisional moves.
