obstacle terrain again

Post by bawawa »

Hi, during the terrain set up, what's the way to put on obstacles : as standart terrain (dice roll) or as fortifications (at the beginning) as the last sentence may let us suppose.
Because if we use dice roll....there is a lot of chance to have obstacle not useful...but nevertheless I suppose it's the way !

Dice.

(If you want certainty you have to pay points for real FF.)

The last time I saw obstacles on the field, my opponent placed them, and I found them very useful. That's the risk you take.

Always remember that just because it has to go in your opponents half of the table you can still run it so its 90 degrees to his line along a side edge or so its totally useless to either of you, better that than having him taunt you from across it. Last game we had I ended up with Blatherguts new obstacle, unfortunately he was standing back so I had to abandon it and rush over to his half of the table.

And a very nice-to-look-at hedgewall it was!! Hopefully over the holidays we can run a game and photograph it!
