Threatened Flank of Mounted

So i gather mounted can never have a threatened flank.

Just curious why mounted that could be flank charged don't count it as threatened?

On p175 - Threatened Flank, last bullet point.

Is this referring to foot and mounted BGs,or just foot?

If it's both then, mounted are not immune to threatened flanks when capable of being charged next turn are they? :?

The entire Threatened Flank section, all the bullets, leads from "A battle group of foot..."
