Multiplayer problem - mismatched name

When I log in multiplayer, I get the error I am getting an error about a mismatched ID. (This may be a left over issue frmo the fact that my forum ID is batesmotel but I registered the original FoG PC game as batesmotel34.) The beta install didn't ask for a name to register but it may have assumed the worng name.

I also don't see an option to use S&S for a multiplayer game if I go ahead and log in anyway but that may well be because of the mismatched username.

Ahh yes that will be it - mail me your usernames & serial number and I'll sort it out tomorrow. I tried to be clever and pre-register all your serials...

I am still unable to log on to multiplayer to play the S&S beta or on the main server when I try to do so I get the message “User Cancelled (code 2) I only have one username for FOG which is Hoplite1963.
