decalring charges in a villiage

Post by expendablecinc »

Can a BG declare a charge on a BG it cannt see (ie in a villiage any troops where the entire BG is more than 2 inches away).

Correspondingly can a BG march to 2 inches away as well (assuming no other visible enemy within 6 inches).

The first one is easy. Page 52, first para of Declaration of Charges: To be allowed to declare a charge, there must be a visible enemy base that can be "legally" contacted.....

IIRC the march rules say nothing about visible enemy, just enemy.

The exception being that a BG may march to within visual range of an ambush marker. If it is a dummy it is removed and the moving BG may continue its move. If the ambush marker was concealing troops, these are revealed and the moving BG halts its move at that point.

righto - confusing my rulesets - theres another one otu there where visibility matters for more stuff marching, proximity of generals and the effect of thier death.
