The Lordz Games Studio is very proud and pleased to announce our new project and unique partnership with Slitherine Software.
Slitherine is a small and talented team who have been in the games industry since the early 1990's working on games such as T-Tex, Desert Strike, Red Alert, Dune, Dune Emperor, Deus Ex and Urban Chaos on platforms from the Amiga, Lynx, SNES, PSX, GBC, Dreamcast to PC. Two of Slitherine's founders are former international board game champions, which has played a large role in the passion they share for strategic gaming.
Slitherine Software's new strategy brand of mass market titles are designed from day one to be approachable and highly playable to beginners, yet fully satisfying to veterans. This is a worthy design objective, and one that we at The Lordz Games Studio applaud.
The Lordz Games Studio is thrilled to work together with such a team on their first project. We share the passion for wargaming and our love for challenging strategy games. So we hope to design and produce many more games and projects in the near future.
The Arcane Legions : A Rising Shadow game engine will be used as a base for our next project, most recently the Arcane game engine has been nominated for the technical excellence award at the Independent Games Festival, or IGF. The winners will be decided in March at the 2007 Game Developers Conference, or GDC. Slitherine has put a lot of time and effort into this new and improved engine for Arcane Legions and this is a great reward! This is the actual engine we will be working with, so we are really looking forward to this collaboration.
