new to FoG. Want to start Swifter than Eagles army

Post by mikosevar »

Hi

I want to get into this system and together with a friend we're thinking to go for StE. He is deadset to play later mycenaean/trojan.
What would be some good (historical) option for me to look at to put an arny together in?

To make the armies of the Trojan War you'd probably want to take both of them from the "Later Mycaenian and Trojan" list

I was assuming that someone interested in Troy would want to do the best known war. Hittites would be historical but might not appeal so much.

Assuming you will eventually be using your army against others as well,Hittites are a thought, but I would also consider Sea Peoples if you like barbarian mobs, or New Kingdom Egyptians if you like more finesse in your generalship. True, they didn't directly fight , but Kadesh is not far in chronology from Troy, and the NKE is a very interesting army with a lot of options and replayability.
