Animating infantry

I've made a new infantry man and animated him using biped and physique (max 8). When I load him into the game the bags, rifle etc all animate but the body is stuck in the position of the 1st frame. I was looking at the engine docs and it mentioned making meshes deformable or rigid in the dialog box for the exporter. I can't see a dialog box - or it that the dialog box for Max? Any ideas as to what I doing wrong?

Ignore that question! I worked it out - need to double click any deformable mesh :D
