This was probably noticed by other people but I haven't see it addressed without too much digging of the forums and it's really been bothering me...
Now I know this is not a simulation or wargame in the Combat Mission hardcore style but some things are just combat 101...
Like infantry or hardware in a truck/APC that suffers a direct hit is at least going to be shaken and probably at least take some percentage of casualties, but in the few games I've played so far I'm yet to see a scratch on any cargo while the transports blow up sky high...
Now that's really unnecessarily gamey for anyone tastes I suspect, plus it there's no balance reason that I can think of for such a rule.
So that's my 2 cents.
Great game btw...lots of potential.
PS
It would really be nice to be able to zoom out more!
Transport's cargo surviving direct hits...

I agree with you and add another question about transports:
Direct fire from a tank to a truck: you could hit a truck, you could not...depending if the tank fast moved, distance to target...etc. If you don´t hit and destroy it loses morale and eventually retire or surrender.
Direct fire from a MG (or infantry unit) to a truck: 99% chance of getting blow with just one shot. How come?
Unarmoured transport are very vulnerable but i don´t know why infantry fire is so lethal and vehicle one isn t.

It's designed to balance out really, trucks are cheap and fast, but vulnerable to pretty much anyone. The units survive partly to avoid paying too large a penalty of a truck is ambushed, but mainly because the AI has a ton of trouble dealing with transporting units otherwise.
If you need to zoom out further, and you are fully updated, then you can use the tweak NoZoomLimit, removes zoom limits if desired. Simply add the line
NOZOOMLIMIT 1
to the user.txt file in My Documents\My Games\BBCBA

then it should apply for ai only...
cause in multiplayer it leads to a transport rush into enemy territory and if you get blown up then the trucks just end up as a double time move..which probably would be more realistic and scratch the transports...
but whats done is done, all im saying is at least have the cargo be suppressed for a turn in multiplayer after experiencing a fiery death...it just kills whatever immersion the game manages to achieve..

IIRC when a unit is ejected it has no shots and takes a morale hit (I'd have to check the scripts to be sure). It's a pretty poor tactic I would argue throwing trucks forward into a combat zone without support anyway. But the issue is one we have looked at a number of times - we think we have a good balance, but we're happy to get feedback.
