Post by bawawa »

Hi, my english being not so good, I'm afraid not to understand one sentence in the cohesion level and effects table p149 :
Into the Fragmented boxe, text related to the shock troops tells : "Shock troops are no longer so"....??? are no longer what ??? Fragmented ??!!! or is it related to the former sentence or something else...I'm lost !
Is someone can explain this to a poor french guy with a poor english...
Maaannnnnyyyy Thanks

I suspect your English is as good or better than a lot of our French.

Not so good as I'd like, but I'm lucky cause I have to speak english almost all the time at my office (Airbus Toulouse). So... good for the hobby...

In fact, shock troops just don't have to pass a CMT to charge while disrupted, that'it ? No "mandatory" charge if CMT missed as in FoG AM (sorry to compare, it's just to be sure !)

Yes.

So it doesn't actually make any difference them not counting as Shock troops when Fragmented - it is a fossil from FOGAM - but thankfully a harmless one. (Except in so far as it may confuse people who try to figure out why it is there).

Swedes sound tough, but you have to admit those winged Hussars can look pretty good. I guess it depends on how long it will take for the Polish list to come out. Then you have to decide if you want to wait and then buy your figs or start buying on educated guesses and start painting so you can be more or less ready to go when the list is released.

Oh! Go for the panache, glamour and audacity of winged hussars. Even if you lose you'll look doing so. :)

Of course, if you have the time and money, you can have both.

Money, money, even in our hobby...it's the nerve of the war !!!!
For the winged hussards there is the amazing Legio Heroica....and for the Sweden I like Testudo even if they are a little bit taller than other model...(and a little expensive as well...)
I give my self some time to think about that.....

Not counting as Shock whilst Fragmented makes a slight of difference. Shock Cavalry, become Cavalry and can, if they pass the test for being charged, evade.
