Camp Bug?
Is there a camp bug? I am playing in the league of extraordinary gentlemen and I have hit my enemy's unprotected camp three times now and had nothing happen - even after several turns. Twice with cavaly, and once with medium infantry. Yet I have lost my camps on numerious occacions. On one of the games the cavalry did become fractured the turn after the hit the camp, but the other two times the units were steady. Can you check on this? One game the camp would not have helped me, but I lost two league games due to this issue with camps now. Thanks

I dont tink i have ever scene looting work as intended yet things hange so much every patch i dont even know what is right and wrong
The wierdest result was i had a cavalry evade from my opponent and he evaded into the enmy camp, next turn the camp disappeared, where as in another match my oponent had a cavalry unit stuck on my unfortified camp for the entire game without making it disapear ( i dont think he got points for it but not sure...)

Although obviosly an issue w camps I cant believe someone resigned over that... You could just as easily argue he was playing gamey by placing his lights near his camp that could have evaded into his camp yet if you were playing by a house rule to not attack them, you would be giving them a free safe haven and thus the other player an advantagedeeter wrote:I had the same thing happen with evading cav. Instant looter. In another game, I unintentionally caused an enemy cav unit to evade next to a fortified camp and was accussed of gamey play for doing so. My opponent resigned.

Camp Bug?
I was wondering a lot about this - I could not do it with light troops, but figured it was part of the rules, got several heavy cavalry on camps, but was having the same issue, then finnaly I got infantry into contact with an unprotected camp that was in steady order. I had him there for a full 3rd of the game and nothing never happened. I would have won if I had gotten the 5 points (10%), but ended up in a draw instead. Since this was for a league game - it is beginning to really get on my nerves.
Oh Well - I hope they get this fixed.

I feel your pain. In a very recent game, I had already taken the enemy camp and way off to my rear, my lancer cav unit chased an LF unit off the map. The lancer suddenly was said to be looting the map edge. I could do nothing else with him for the rest of the game.
I just checked the TT rules and for sacking fortified camps, cav must roll a 6 and foot must roll a 5 or 6 to succeed. The PC help section gives foot a 1 in 3 chance and cav a 1 in 6 chance. As for passing the CMT, I wonder if having a leader nearby helps?

That is undertandable since it is fortified, but I am talking about an unfortified camp.
Just happened to me again. I managed to sneak a unit up to an unfortified camp which I duely looted but was stuck there trying to pass a CMT. Meanwhile the enemy noticed and chased my unit off the map! Not only did I lose my unit and I AP, I got nothing for the camp.
This is just wrong. Hope it gets fixed.

I think this is intentional. In the PC version, unlike the TT, you do not get the points for the enemy camp until you successfully pass a CMT to stop looting. Sounds like you had not passed that CMT yet. You're lucky that you only got chased off. I've had skirmishers in that position routed because they were charged from an angle where they would have had to evade through the camp and couldn't, so instead they dutifully turned around and presented their rears to their attackers and were immediately violated and brokendeeter wrote:Just happened to me again. This is how camps have been from the beginning and it is covered in the game notes:

Camps are only looted in the PC game on passing a CMT.
This gives the camp owner some time to do something about it .... sometimes!

Why would you do that ? The cavalry unit only has a 1-6 chance to "break in" vs 1-3 for the foot?
Edit Oh I see from your last post you dont like when looters are destroyed or driven off the map by the ooponent......
I think this explanation and the link to the rules (which i didnt know existed, same as what we have in game?) will clear up many of the reported camp bugs.... But not all! I think part of the isue is the feedback once the process starts that is maybe buggy or confusing....
Often i can hear the looting sound 'hrrah" but not consistenlty, also the A sometimes and sometimes does not appear, i have also never sean the "fail" sign on the unit......Also , why are units sometime unavailalbe to move for a turn AFTER the camp has disappeared off the map, sometimes for 2 of that players turns?
Final ?: Do multiple looters give multiple chances to break in and or loot?
