Samurai

Post by ethan »

Any hints on what I should be looking to add/rebase/consider for a Samurai army for FoG:R? I have an existing army used for DBM (but with the ahistorical Two Dragons later figures). It doesn't look like I will get a much of a workout with that army in FOG:AM, so maybe it will get a run out in FOGR...

Obviously I need to add some firearm infantry but anything else to consider?

You need A LOT of Teppo. by 1600 the yumi (bow) became more of a novel thing or a skirmish weapon. Some times they would mix teppo and yumi to keep up a high rate of fire. This was less and less when rotational fire started to be used. Which oddly was at least 50 years before the west did.

Also the Japanese did not use pike as they did in the west.
