Army Lists - Generals maxima and minima

Post by rbodleyscott »

Generals updated in all lists.

Unless listed below, to:

C-in-C: IC/FC/TC
SGs: FC 0-2, TC 0-3

Exceptions

Classical Greek

Generals As cavalry or hoplites
C-in-C:
IC/FC/TC
SGs: TC 0-2
Greek ally Generals As cavalry or hoplites TC 0-3

Harsh? Probably realistic, but what other armies should also be so affected?

At least it won??™t knobble them too much as having all SGs as TC is currently favoured as a cost-effective configuriation. (Unless we change the generals rules)

Classical Indian

Generals As elephants, chariots or cavalry.
C-in-C:
IC/FC/TC
SGs: FC/TC 0-2
Indian ally generals As elephants, chariots or cavalry. FC/TC 0-3

Hard to justify a compulsory AG e.g. in Mauryan empire

Alexandrian Macedonian

List notes:

If the C-in-C is Alexander he must be an IC.

Hellenistic Greek

Generals As light horse if Aitolian, otherwise as cavalry
C-in-C:
IC/FC/TC
SGs: FC/TC 0-2
Greek ally Generals As light horse if Aitolian, otherwise as cavalry TC 0-3

Early German

Generals As cavalry
C-in-C:
IC/FC/TC
SGs: FC/TC 0-2
German ally generals As cavalry FC/TC 0-2

Anglo-Irish

Justiciar ??“
C-in-C As Justiciar??™s men-at-arms IC/FC/TC 0-1
Anglo-Irish generals As Anglo-Irish lances or spears
C-in-C:
IC/FC/TC 0-1
SGs: FC 0-2, TC 0-3

Should all or some of the Anglo-Irish SGs be AGs? (Optionally or compulsorily)

Medieval Irish

Should all or some of the SGs be AGs? (Optionally or compulsorily)

Ordonnance Burgundian

C-in-C: FC/TC

Ancient Spanish

Komnenan Byzantine

Generals As Byzantine cavalry
C-in-C: IC/FC/TC

As Varangian guard FC/TC 0-1
Norman general As Latinikon FC/TC 0-1
