Commanded Shot...

Just got my books last night so while I did a quick skim, I still have allot of reading to do.

I'm confused about the Commanded shot and how they are used. I get the idea that they go with the horsies to give them the "protected" status, but it seems that taking two bases of average or superior guys is pretty dangerous unless I'm just missing something.

Do the horsies around them have to take a CT if one of the bases of shot is killed and autobreaks?

I'm assuming I'm missing something here, but would love any clarification.

Yes they do. But as they start as a 2 base BG they get +1 on their death roll, which helps.

It is a good tactic unless anything goes wrong. Then it can collapse quite spectacularly.
