Polish-Lithuanian foot in book 5

Post by nikgaukroger »

Draft currently says:
From about 1673, infantry regiments were reformed, with the number of pikemen being reduced to roughly 10% of the total and their pikes shortened, and the musketeers being armed with the berdishe axe. They also adopted Polish style dress. By the siege of Vienna in 1683 the reforms appear to have been complete.
And Richard asked:
You don’t think this could/should be represented as 5 Musket,HW, 1 pike?
I must admit I hadn't considered it. Not sure it would really be suitable as the remaining pikemen are few in number and have only half-pikes. However, I'm open to being convinced ...

I'm tempted to leave these as is for difference from other foot in the book. Thoughts?

I am happy with that. I just thought the point should be raised.
