Multiplayer gaming fun!!!!

Post by nitetrain58 »

Well I am an older player (50) like many who like this type of game. i have played a few mp games and have been learning along the way. Very respectful and helpful players eventhough I am maybe not a great challenge, but I have been treated with respect. I guess it is due to the mature crowd this game attracts not like other mp games where a lot bashing newbs and whatnot is common.I am happy with the game and the community.

All newbies like myself who have not played mp,,,I recommend it wholeheartedly. We can only get better the more we play.

I would like to play a bit more,,I usually can play 2-4 turns or more a day and can manage 4-5 games at once,I accept advice and would like to make friends while having fun,,,

Ty Slitherine and devs for a great game and community!! :)

That´s great nitetrain!

I am also enjoying the MP a lot, and very rarely jump into MP in any kind of game, even the ones i love. I think for me the best is the way you can take your time and think strategies, and play at your own speed, without the pressure of those RTS or MMORPGs (and i was a WoW player for a while, so i know how it feels) out there. I have always been truly a fan of Turn Strategy though (Panzer General/Master of Magic lover)

And the mechanics of this game are amazingly elegant. And i love the style of the graphics!!

Feel free to set up any game you like and PM me the password if you feel like playing anytime nitetrain!

Cheers

I'm in nitetrain's, uh, "age bracket" and agree with the comments he's posted. Because I (currently*) have to run BA by re-booting into Boot Camp on my iMac, I haven't yet started any MP games because of my lack of time in Windows and desire not to make folks wait for me to take a turn, but I'd certainly welcome a game with you when I get the chance.

*C'mon, Slitherine. What OSX news? How's development progressing?

I have had a game with nitetrain and am playing him or possibly her at the moment ( reason i could have so many turns to day is it is my 50th birthday and my wife said i could have the day off ) .This is the biggest blast iv had in years .Again like some of you i have been playing srtat games for years but never got in to multi play. I find my games enjoyable even if i get creamed. It is so refreshing to get away from the save game before a move is played resulting in a near perfect score in single player .This becomes sterile after a while . The first clash of troops quickly tells me if i have an expert to deal with . Got 6 games on the go now and lookforward to seeing my little flashing Slitherine button :D
So far 3 losses 1 win , 1game that im on the back foot and 1 i might win if i can keep my concentration and not rush my turn.

Could this game become a popular classic for Slitherine I think it could.

I have just put up a couple of multiplayer challenges for anyone who would like a game.

I live in the UK timezone, can play a fair few turns during saturday and sunday this weekend, will then be slowed down as back at work

I have played ONE MP game of BA but have played the single player tons and tons so reasonably competent player but don't know any MP tricks :)
