Like stirred sediment, I am moving up in the world!

Average Joe was a splendid event. Great concept, great gamers. There was a lot of energy and the SMAC crowd put on a fine game day and FoG tournament.

I hope the 9:30 start time is carried forward. Waking at 05:00 is much better than waking at 04:00.

A big THANK YOU to the organizers, and to all of my opponents. I particularly enjoyed my game with Hilton, as he alternated between purple countenanced choleric rage and calm, professorial explanations of game mechanics and rules manipulations to use against him during the course of the game. Sort of a rotation between Captain Ahab and Glinda, the Good Witch of the North. I will remember that Cavalry, Light Foot thing though; that is for sure. Thanks Hilton!

Are you guys planning on doing any FOG-R?

Also, have anyone in the Jackson MS area, willing to teach? I dont think I will ever play tournys but I would still like to learn the game.

Steve P is further south of you in ocean springs and another great teacher.

Yea, I used to game with them a little a while back. I saw in the last SMAC letter they had a guy in Jackson, so I was curious.

I got my FOG-R rules in yesterday and Im interested again.

William Jones, aka Skullzgrinda, is in Jackson, MS.

Several of us are building FOG-R armies in 10mm using 15mm basing, so you can expect atleast some demo-games in the near future.

HUBCON is the first weekend in October in Hattiesburg where there will be a 2 day FOG ancients tournament. It would be agreat place to make contacts with others.
