Just Bought The Game and...
Am very satisfied. Love the sound the and the graphics are different but work. Played the first two missions and eventhough the maps are not that big (for now at least) I note you have to use sound tactics to win. Multiple Objective are challenging also. Well great game and hope to play multiplayer soon when i feel i can at least present a bit of a challenge to all the pros here.
Congrats on a great game!!!!

Hi nitetrain - so the temptation was too great for you
Good choice! Are you going to jump into the multiplayer? It's how I'm learning the game .... as my opponents will have noticed

Constructive feedback: Good game concept, similar to panzer general, or Western Front, as turn based game but improved and smaller tactical scale. Single player is way too hard. Apparently developers recognize it because they added an easier mode, but its still extremely difficult. Balance is way off. Games has already had numerous updates. Sherman tanks can fire 8 times at a scout car and don't kill it in turn based game. Fighter planes have virtually no impact. One person said they resorted to only using planes on demoralized units, what???. That's not in the manual and normally a bomb does not inquire as to moral status before exploding. Also, bomber planes attack too late, for turn based game, they're worthless on tanks and 88's which just shoot them down. Artillery cycles way to slow, so that game turns are over before you can use it. One mission I have no units left, but game tells me I won as turns ran out, computer/Germans had 10 high level units on field and were killing allied units with impunity. Allies had best arty and planes, but are essentially useless here. Ex. mission with 3 88's on a hill, plus a Tiger, destroyed Allies. Unbelieveably hard to kill bunker, no fun, losing repeatedly. Arty could not kill 88's, fighter planes could not, all surrounded by bunkers. Allies can't swarm either, as both sides have about same units, Germans seem to have more. Hope they improve as it has potential. Would not recommend to novice. I usually like Matrix stuff, but am disappointed. Its an OK game, but not great for $40. My opinion. Good effort, because I like to see these type of strategy games, but good luck playing it.
sg225: 88 guns are anti-air guns, so it would make sense that if you tried to attack them with a fighter they would shoot you, dont you think? You need to get in close and assault the bunkers, imagine shooting a rifle at a bunker a 200 yards away do you think you are going to kill anything? This game requires a lot of planning, you cant just charge in with tanks and expect to win, i hope you will keep at it and try to learn the combined arms that are needed to be good at this game. It is worth it and you will see that this is more realistic than most games..

Find the old "Haunted Tank" comics from the 60s. Heck their Stuart took out Tigers all the time ... I think they took out more Tigers with their 37mm gun then were manufactored. And you say it can't be done ... if it's printed its gotta be true ....RIGHT?mhiggins11 wrote:I have to agree on some of the points. but i feel the real issue is that the dice-roll (random factor) is way too high in game play.
I have posted a topic on this..... this is a great game, but a M5 killing a Tiger from 6 hexes away on the first shot - just not going to happen !!!!

this is very funny when i read it here, all nice and calm - but 3 hours ago i would have ripped your "Haunted Tank" into very small pieces and then ate them !!!
i just think there could be some less dependency on the roll of the dice, or some sort of barrier protocol that prevents an M5 killing a Tiger head on EVER !! <grin>

hehe.. I just posted in the other thread, i had my KingTiger Killed in 1 shot durring multiplayer, that hurts, but today I was playing a game as allies and killed my opponents Panther in 1 shot in the side armor so not as bad, but still funny.. if you think about it makes the game fun, because when you are losing there is still a chance that you will pull of something amazing, otherwise you get down a few pieces of armor and you might as well quit. I think its nice that you might have a lucky streak and kill 4 or 5 tanks in a turn when you are outnumbered it can bring you back to win.

% are like that. Sometimes you are lucky, sometimes not.
This is the way war works. If the % are wrong thats different but if its just about the luck factor, then the skill of a good commander is that they plan for the worst while hoping for the best. If your plan falls apart because of some bad luck it was not a robust plan. Always have units support each other. Any unit on its own is vulnerable.
