Well, in my opinion, the path is way less of an issue than final destination itself, since knowing at the begining of your turn where an enemy unit is (and one that is currently out of LOS of your own units) gives you an advantage to plan your movements that shouldn´t exist.
At least in MP, revealing units and their move when out of LOS feels a little bit fakey and affects gameplay, so should be addressed. Jus my two cents

That's what I thought in my earlier post. But what about artillery?iainmcneil wrote:If the shroud replaced at the end of every turn you'd never seen infantry or anti tank guns. It would completely break the game. It ain't going to happen
On the surface it can look stupid the way it is but it's a game after all and I think gameplay would suffer if this is changed. Most units should be hidden almost all the time and I belive it should be very frustrating to have it like that. Maybe if scouts were to reveal units further away than two tiles but then they would be some kind of supermen with x-ray vision able to see through buildings and deep into woods and whatnot.
I'm with jomni though, when it comes to artillery. If you know a units position only because it has fired and none of your units has LOS it shouldn't be possible to attack with arty. Or it would at least be with a very reduced accuracy,
I am getting a little bit confused here...
Let´s see. A unit fires :
A. If out of LOS of all my units, i should not be able to see this unit position (sometimes on the other side of the map). Should be changed as affects MP
A.1. Definitely, i should not be able to see i´ts movement and final destination AFTER it fired (all this still out of my units LOS) Should be changed as affects MP
B. If my units have LOS to it :
B.1 Ambush! The unit still not revealed because nice cover position. Fine
B.2 Spotted! I see the unit position. Fine
B.2.1 The unit stays where it was, so i had LOS and Spotted it, and i can still see it in my turn. Fine
B.2.2 The unit moves away from my LOS. I see the whole path and final destination (even way out of my LOS). Should be changed as affects MP
I think this is the whole deal, and still don´t understand why changing the above points would mean some units will be invisible all the time....Am i missing something here?

Changing it so that you don't see the path but still see the final destination would be pointless.
I don't know how the LOS check works but it could be.. if spotted and your unit moves it checks LOS and if no enemy units have LOS then unit = not visible, but if you stay on or return to the same spot you would be visible again to avoid people walking in and out of the same building to become invisible. If its not going to get fixed then no big deal, not a gamebreaking type situation, but it just does seem odd that you can track units going out the rear of a building and to the left on the next block, when you are across the street in the front of the building, and no other units in LOS

I think you can fix this and the overall los issue. Say I have an infantry behind a tank. If a firing usnigs los passed through the tile of the tank then they don't have los and can't fire at my inf. Same rule covers forest thing and would greatly improve the game, not harm it. Why would you think that proper execution of LOS rules would hurt this game?

If a tank can block line of sight through a square then this would suggest that the tank was actually to scale.
If the tanks in the game are designed to be exactly to scale then the ranges are tiny compared to the actual ranges of the weapons being used.
I see the units in game as over sized counters. Is this wrong?
