Penalty for plane shot down

Post by Acererak »

I noticed there are no penalties for getting your planes shot down (except they dont get to act, of course...)

Since this is quite a intense moment i think it could be rewarded with something a little bit better. How about delaying the use of airplanes for the enemy if you manage to shoot down the plane?

Would also make them more valuable in anti air duties and not just as anti infantry weapons (which i usually use them for the most)

Just a thought. :D

If you really want to make it "hardcore" we could say, if you get shot down no more air support for the whole game.. I think not hitting anything and having to wait a few turns is probably punishment enough, so i would be against that change..

What would be nice is if the plane after being shot down crashed on the map and would explode killing any units within maybe 2 or 3 squares.. but that is also just a thought

edit: check your PM

Simply having zero effect can be a pretty significant penalty if you were relying on your air power to help you out ;).

Cheers

But some (most i would say) air support have just 2/3 turns delay. Getting shot down once gives away the anti air position, so not so hard to avoid it couple turns after.
