Bulge Scenario - Save the fuel dump
This one has me beat at the moment, I get quite a lot of mediocre american armour but it gets hammered by stugs and panzer IV's let alone panthers, and I have yet to dent a king tiger in this scenario. Most of the kills are going to infantry in ambush. Anyone have a trick for using the US armour in this scenario?
Here's how I stomped the Wermarch guts out. Do this and Jerry will be pwnd, Hu-Rah!
With your main tank relief force, head right/east from the get go, cross the bridge(go in hunting movement mode as you run into a few tanks. I used the Chaffe's to scout(while hunting) and took my time. Took out all the armor along the way and crossed the north bridge. head to the right side of the map and come down(hunting all the way, no fat move, seems thats pretty fatal!). When you get to the forest(its NE of the 2nd bridge) you will find alot of the heavy and super heavy german armor but will come from complete suprise and take them from the rear. Kick em in the ass and take the 2nd bridge VP.
For the SE town/village battle where you have infantry, put them all to the eastern buildings as you can and put them on hold fiire. let the light armor convoy of pumas and stdfkz apcs get all nice and lined up and bunched up along the buildings then on your turn decimate them with hidden infantry attacks. check for which ones are better kills for each unit and wether or not the highest % kill is by regular attack or assault. On my turn I ambushed and killed all but 2 I think it was of his apcs. Caught all but 2 infantry I think it was inside the exploding apcs so that was a huge bonus. Also put your sniper/scout unit that starts to the north of the town on hold fire and then shoot em in the back on your turn. TAKE OUT THAT SOB FLAMETHROWER with the scout unit if you can or you'll be going home in an urn soldier!
The armored reinforcements I held back and then come in behind the tanks that get sent in on the 2nd assault wave there. I screwed that up a few times and had to reload the latest save game to get it right and even then I lost the Hellcat. Use the remainig shermans to help come in from behind(notice a pattern here how you use allied armor correctly vs superior german tanks!?) his main armor that is driving onto the ammo dump. You get another 5 or 6 tanks to help fend off the main attack. basically always use your infantry to cover many areas and hold fire. that way you have visibility to where the krauts are at(scouts are nice but not needed on def if you keep them hidden and place them well(baring other infantry blundering into their forest square then you get nailed by his tanks.
It took a few times but youll get it, hope that helps. Also, one tactic I used from noticing how the AI responds to newly discovered enemies is that if hes broken through and at the 2 sand bag forts then get him to turn around and come back by exposing a unit or 2 to draw them back. The AI in this one and in some of the others (or the group is put on S&D and not objective taking ingore all threats and cap flags) can be manipulated that way....now if I can only get all you guys playing multiplayer to do that....

Make sure you get the flags for the reinforcements, dont worry if you lose them again.
On the top right of the map you will be defending a small village or town, dont lose those trucks when you are done defending you can slowly move staying all the way to the right your troops down to the fuel dump crossing through the forest in the back of the fuel dump. Just run trucks back and forth moving troops in it will take many turns. Dont truck them straight down the middle you will not make it. Get them lined up in the gaps/ forests and buildings before the flag, when you got everything down sit one of the trucks right on the flag so that it wont be as easy to move on when it gets blown up. Take your shermans or whatever tanks you were able to get down and hide them inside the fuel dump at the entrance so that they are out of view, point them diagonally so that they aim right at the entrance. You will probably at this ponit have a ton of panthers and a king tiger after you but they will be bottlenecked and by the time they breakthrough you should be down to maybe 2 or 3 turns try to kill them with your infantry when they get close, just fall back all the way until time runs out, not a very satisfying win but it will work.
