Bedouin Dynasties - Hamdanids of Aleppo 800pts

Post by Dragnipur »

Hi,
I’m planning on taking Bedouin Dynasties (Hamdanids) with the Dailami option to MOAB this year.

This would be very similar to Nik Gaukroger’s list at http://www.endoftime.pwp.blueyonder.co. ... d964v6.pdf

As I have not played with them before does any one have any advice on the taking the extra Ghazi infantry option? Does being only protected make them more of a target? How should they be deployed.

Any other tactical advice that I would need to know?

Thanks in advance

Not sure how well all those LH lancers would work out, maybe one for sneaky stuff but 3?

I'm not sure either that's why I'm asking. I was hoping Nik was going to respond but maybe he isn't willing to give away any of his secrets.

Well the lancer light horse also has swords. So it shoudl fare well against enemy LH.
The idea behind them is the win the LH battle.
Chances are witht he POA at impact they win and with lances the enmey LH probably average is facing a -2 CT, which is a bit risky.
Then the Sword POA in melee means the odds shouldn't swing back and in 2 tuens youprobalby break the enemy LH.

Since the enemy knows that, they will be reluctant to flaff about carelessly with their LH.

So now youhave the ability to manuver on your foe and you still haven't brought up your heavy lancers or Dailami.

I am increasingly a fan of lancer light horse. They can really turn the tables on opponents who build their armies on the "air + grit" theory.

Be interesting to see how you get on. I've chosen same list for our club competition this year, but different composition

4 BG's x 4 Bedouin Cavalry (Lancer LH)
3 BG's x 4 Armoured Cavalry (Armoured, Superior Cv Lancers)
3 BG's x 4 Dailami (Armoured, Superior MF, Impact Foot)
2 Dailami (Supporting LF Archers)
1 BG x 6 LF Archers
2 BG's x 4
2 BG's 4 4 Allied Kurd Armoured Cavalry (Armoured, Superior Cv Lancers)
3 TC
1 Ally TC
