Screen shudder during bombardment

Post by PirateJock_Wargamer »

Is there any way of stopping the screen shaking when there's a bombard, bombing etc - it makes my eyes go funny  I know there isn't a keystroke for it, just wondering if there was a change in one of the scripts or setup files that could disable it?

Cheers

Not something simple I'm afraid. You'd need to go through and remove each call. I'll add a toggle to the todo list.

Cheers

Yes, there is, but I couldn't tell you how to do it. I just know it's something you can set in the Bonus cards file. Maybe a mod will help you out here.

IIRC, I don't think the shaking is data driven.

Could it be the shake values in ..\Data\scripts\BombardTools.bsf? I could have a play but if anybody knows what to change it'll save a lot of trial-error and testing time.

If you change it you wont be able to play multiplayer as it will go out of synch.

Thanks for the warning Iain - I'll wait for the on/off toggle then  ... besides I was getting a bit worried as it looked like you'd be playing with bitwise operators in the functions and that's a bit beyond my ken at the moment; too many 0s and 1s!

I like to think of it more as a strategic withdrawal :-p
