Cavalry Break-OFF/Elephants vs. cavalry

Post by PLloyd »

A couple of questions:

1. A cavalry unit charges an infantry BG, which goes Disrupted, so the cavalry do not break-off in the JAP. After several rounds of inconclusive melee, the infantry BG is rallied by a general back to Steady........do the cavalry now revert to the break-off in the JAP?

2. Elephants are said to cause disorder to cavalry within a base width......does this imply that an Elephant BG will always be charging a disordered cavalry unit in the Impact phase and the cavalry will lose the 1 in 3 dice?

Thanks

Just a point on #1

The seqeunce is important. Once bolstered back to good order, then you break off at the next jap phase

ie first you break off then you bolster.

So when the foot bolsters the break off doesn't occur until you go through thr sequence of play again.
