resizing the map while creating a scenario!!!

Post by pomakli »

It's possible, to notice during creating a scenario that the map isn't big enough; so that you want to resize it!

But, what happens?

Everything disappears, you have a new map without terrain models and objects!!

Is it my mistake?

If not, is it possible to chance the size without loosing everything we just added to the new scenario?

:?

When you resize the map, does it grey out the playable area like the non-playable area? I read in a previous post someone complaining about and I have found I have the same problem.

Yes it does. One workaround I found is to drop units on the map and they will properly reveal the areas of the map they can see (and then remove the units).

I think Pip also said in another thread that if you save and re-load the map, it sorts itself out (but I haven't tried that).

Pip also said he's added it to his To Do to fix. :)

Saving and loading should also fix this. The upcoming (today or tomorrow fingers crossed) patch adds the ability to choose to have FOW off entirely, or see where units can see in the editor.

Cheers

Hi!

Sorry cbelva for the delayed answer!

I don't think, (which I also find out myself) it's a solution "drop units on the map and remove them!"

There must a better solution with this "FOW during editing!".

It's a good idea, to know while editing which unit on the map can see how far, but not this way!

Like written above, PIP is working on thata nd I am sure he'll find a good solution!
