Step-by-step scenario tutorial

For a fight to the death

I opened MyDocuments\MyGames\BBCBA\Campaigns folder

Create folder How To

Inside that, create folder SCENARIOS

Create with notepad a text file. In notepad type [test1] and save as... type the name text1.txt and from the lower dropdown select unicode, click save.

Start the game and select editor

From the menu select the campaign How To

You will see the map and left side UI. Click the top right button for place units, click the bren carrier, click somewhere on the map to place it. Click the place units button again and it switches side to axis. Select the german truck and place it near the carrier.

Click the save button

Backspace the NEW SAVE and type test1, click save.

You will be back to the map, click exit and yes

Select campaigns

Select missing ids campaign name

Select

Select

Select

Kill the truck

I have some modding friends over at the Matrix forum who are on the fence regarding purchase of BA, and this whole teeth-pulling attempt to get a step by step posted here is not sitting well with them. I bought BA because I enjoy modding, and so far I feel my money was wasted in that regard.
You posted this after the first tutorial, which does exactly what you want, was posted. So I am confused.

Yep. looks like the tutorial WAS posted 31 minutes before my last post. However, since the discussion was going on here, I assumed that any announcement of a tutorial would be done here - and I unfortunately did not check the Scenario Design portion of the forum before my last posting. My bad. What is interesting is that a forum member said "... looks like the guy that was asking for a tutorial got what he wanted...", and pip replied "Nope ... was already in the works". That suggests that a request from a user wasn't really the reason for the tutorial. Honestly, I dont care if I had anything to do with it or not, but I hope you really didnt mean it that way pip. Probably meant to say something like - "Hey, we're working that very thing, and now that we see that some of you out there really want it ... we're going to get that puppy out to you ASAP!"

In any event, a preliminary scan of the scenario template posted looks good.

Cheers to pip for getting it out to us!

Now let's have even more fun with this fun game.
