Mutliplayer side switch bug or is it me?

I was playing as germans, I loaded up my turn, but i had to leave and couldn't finish... so i clicked on save, thinking i can load it back up again later. When i came back to play, I was playing as americans and i could not move. So i sent it back to DSwargamer and he then did the german turn and now i was americans.

What was odd, was I am SURE I planned the two air strikes (as Germany) and yet all the units were in locations that looked all wrong to me. Was playing several games yesterday all at the same time though, so memorizing positions was a bit unlikely for me.

I have pondered whether Logan might have made a misconception about which side he had initially picked. But I can't get that notion to make sense. He had to have played an initial turn as some one before sending it to me.

I am 100% sure that i was Germans because i remember trying to kill your truck with my tiger tank, and it ended up only get suppressed by one of the panthers and retreating. Then i viewed your turn, and i had to leave.. did not move a single unit and saved. When I came back i was playing as if I was at the end of the american first turn. So i thought if i press the american flag it would let me start my turn but it ended up just sending it back to you and you played my turn as germans.
