Charging with Bow* foot troops

Are Bow* troops required to take a CMT to charge?

Bow* armed troops do not need to test to charge because bow* is not bow

Bow* are troops only partially armed with bows or have them as secondary weapons. They are trained in melee and are equipped to fight in close quarters as their primary method of fighting
The Bow armed BGs's needing to pass a CMT to charge is a unit that is completely armed with bows as their main weapon. They are less likely to want to mix it up and close with the enemy.
