Hi all, in jully the army of the swiss confederacy decided to fight over the pyrenean mountains. The battles took place in Montmelo near Barcelona I met ' "spanish" medieval armies: 2 santa Hermanda , one catalan company and a Early granadine. My "maudits vachers " where organized like that:

we had protections on our both wings , i had a village and a vinyard. I deployed almost all my army in the center, crosbow in the village on my left and gunner in ambush in the vinyard on my left. Lorainers would be in the back to decide where to go later. He deployed his LH on his wings, his spearmens on his center right and knights in the center left and one BG on his left.

with one BG of ennemy Kn and two LH on my left i decided to press quickly toward them with gunners, crosbowmen , one piques and one halberd to block the LH and to take position to avoid flank attack.

in the center , i moved full distance and skirmishing game started

same on my right

a few turn later on my left, my lorrainers decided they had no job to do here and turned toward the center. where things started to be interesting and dangerous. A BG of piques went to fragmented under the fire of a BG of 6 LF!!!!! That tempting situation brought my oponent to move forward and accept fight.



on my right one pique BG had started the crab-move to protect the flank of the army

the knight decided to charge by themself on my "well oriented pique group" and will thus discover the restrictive rule of break off (no shift!). Hourraaaa!

Not surprising, although sounds like the lorrainers were lucky. Next game I predict will be much closer (assuming that they do hide in a wood, that is).

he deployed on his right between terrain. i deployed in the center but i placed the road in the wrong directioin. it should be oriented toward ithis center rather than his left.

he moved his left so i added a ^pique block to my right. This stopped his intentionon that side for the rest of the game, nothing would happen here.



in the center, he really pissed my infantry off with his skirmishers and managed to slow and confuse me



Spanish Knight destroyed the Lorrainers in one turn and nearly touched my halberd column, in pursuing them ouch!!!
