"Unable to Open setup File" error

Post by SnorriHT »

Hi Team,

I keep getting this error. I have downloaded the setup file via the link in my pre-order e-mail message and I have also tried downloading it directly using the 'findmyorder' link.

In both cases I get the same error. I am running Vista 64 and I am running the setup files with administrator privileges. I am also running Field of Glory and have had no problems whatsoever.

The setup file name is ba_1.3.3_v2 and the size is 163 MB (171,403,549 bytes).

Thanks in advance for your assistance

Sorry you are having probelms. That is the correct file size. I wonder if it is reporting it correctly though as sometimes it tries to be clever and set aside enough space for the entire file when it starts downlloading and fills in the data later. Does it give any more information about why it cant open the file? Does it say it is corrupt or something else? We've tested the game on Vista so there are no reasons why it wouldn't work so we'll have to drill down and work out why it doesn't work on your machine. At this stage trying to download again without a download manager turned on and to a new location would be worth trying.

All Fixed - my Kapersky Internet Security software had quarantined the setup file for some reason...doh!
