In the on-line night-time scenario, I noticed this issue where infantry that is on the corner of bocage, are immune to fire from a unit directly on the other side.
There is another glitch that often happens in this scenario, where the allied piat (bazooka) unit plays a mortar sound file instead of bazooka when attacking.

Hmm! Well I could have sworn my Kangaroo had shot up infantry on the other side of bocage before (as long as the infantry is adjacent). Maybe I just don't remember it right. I'll keep my eye on it then.

Hmm, not sure what's going on now. When I try to start up 1.2 I get a message I'm out of date and do I want to do an auto-update download.
I hit yes, then everything just dissappears and that's the end of that.

Alright, I've tried everything from reboots to un-installs, re-installs. I get that pop-up I need a new version every time the game starts, and then it just shuts down and nothing.

nothing..
happens, if you click "Yes"!
I tired to click "No" and got the old version (!).
I think there is an automatic update system also for BBCBA like for FoG, but without a new version of the game!!!

Well, when I would say 'no' I was still banned from the on-line games.
Anyhow, I installed the last version now, though seems all the other games in progress got lost. Oh well. I see still no one else had posted a new PBEM, (for shame!). Everyone always waits for me for some reason?
I think Desert Encounter is my favourite map right now, probably because it's the least one I've played out of the bunch.

I cleaned out all the older games when I posted the new beta. It's a pain I know, but it helps us to track things if we need to check a bug.
I'm sure everyone will be updating in the next little while. I did another mailshot so should get people who don't frequent the forums.
I'd post some games, but then I tend to get caught up in work and forget about them! Plus I tend to get soundly thrashed by pretty much anyone, or indeed anyone's cats who happen to run across their keyboard... Oh well
Cheers

I said this before, but I"ll re-iterate here. Desert Encounter is still unbalanced. It's good we threw out that rediculously over-powered Biship. But axis are still fighting uphill battles here. They are missing a badly needed AA. Poor axis can't do much without getting shot down, but allies can hit un-restrained with their fighter-bomber and never have to worry about getting shot down. Often the Axis loses precious units like the Carro still from turn #1, and there is absolutely nothing he can do to discourage it. I'm pretty sure this is an over-sight due to the bonus changing for the allies from artillery to air-power.
The axis already have other disadvantages to still over-come, for example, why is it the allies get a mortar unit, and the axis do not?

I don't have a problem if things are a-symmetrical. They already are due to the axis having a few more vehicles (I think), though the allies have 2 Queens to offset this. But things like Mortar can be quite terribly powerful on this particular map. As is, if the Axis stays back and defends, they won't have much left for long. If they go on the offense, they're just going to get slaughtered faster, though they may take out a few units at least, which is better than defending.
