Fragged troops hitting camps

Post by Scrumpy »

Can Fragged troops move into contact with a camp ? If yes, do they have to make a cmt for moving closer to known enemy within 12" to do it ?

Happened in a neighbouring game to mine last weekend.

I believe it is yes on both counts. Fragged troops could also pursue routers and hit the enemy camp.

Thank you Pete, that is what we thought when the other players asked our opinion on it. Nice to see we might have got one right for a change. :)

Out of interest, can fragmented pursuers contact fresh enemy? Fragmented troops obviously cannot charge, but in pursuit this is "...treated as a charge on the contacted enemy" - would depend if this implies it's only the receivers count this as a charge during pursuit?

I believe so - yes - but it doesn't always go well for them!

I'd concur with Pete - in pursuit it is involuntary (although you can CMT to avoid it), but they cannot voluntarily declare a charge.
